BLACK LIVES MATTER

This powerful art print embodies varying elements of Black history, including loss, resilience and hope. It pays homage to our fallen kings such as Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin and Tamir Rice, whilst remembering the leaders and freedom fighters that came before us such as Nelson Mandela and the Black Panther Party. The scales of justice hang imbalanced overhead as the focal young male searches for guidance and change. The X symbol in the background is a historical African icon that represents independence, freedom and emancipation.

I created this piece when I could not find the words to express the emotions that I felt. The anger, pain, sadness but most importantly hope. I create Art that is intended to uplift black people and share our story with the world. Thank you for your time.
